VANA Zimbabwe were excited to receive a visit from Jason James, Executive Director of Cosmos HealthCare from Australia www.cosmoshealth.org . Jason arrived with bags of baby bundles and had a fantastic time meeting with Pastor Makoni and hearing the vision for VANA.
Cosmos HealthCare has been researching the viability of setting up and
sustaining medical projects in Zimbabwe for about 2 years. They are now
planning a mobile clinic plan which will see a 4WD based in Bulawayo. This
vehicle will be staffed by a registered nurse and an assistant/driver and
will move around to several areas around Bulawayo. It will conduct health
education and provide clinical care. Cosmos HealthCare believe a mobile option provides a
flexible option. Cosmos HealthCare is considering partnering with VANA. Chivhu would be one of the destinations that the mobile clinic would station themselves regularly at on their travels.
